Onlinekurs med Swami Sarvananda Saraswati: "Beyond Yoga - Self-enqiry the Vedic way". Start söndag 9 februari

WHAT AFTER YOGA?
Asanas (postures) and Pranayama, while being immensely beneficial from a health and fitness perspective are but apreliminary step in the process towards evolving into a complete andmatured human being. Yoga and Vedanta (Self knowledge as taught in the Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads) are inextricably connected and this connection needs to be understood systematically by making full use of the traditional teaching methodology of the ancient Rishis/Sages. This assimilation of Self knowledge is a methodical process and the knowledge has to be unfolded by a competent teacher slowly over a period of time.

WHAT IS VEDANTA?
Vedanta is the valid means of gaining "Self Knowledge" through a systematic of enquiry into "Who am I" or reality of myself, with the help of the scriptures comprising of Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads and related texts like Patanjali Yoga Sutra.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF STUDYING VEDANTA?
Become more happy, cheerful and purposeful by gaining freedom from emotional issues like sadness, sorrow, fear, anger, hatred, jealousy and so on. Every human being is only seeking this freedom through all activities one undertakes throughout life. Complete freedom is definitely possible right here and now. This freedom eventually results in liberation from the cycle of birth and death and can only be accomplished by knowing the truth of myself.
The "Real Me" is different from what I have mistakenly identified with, that is the body-mind and consequentially the external world. This false identification causes all human problems. Enquiring into the basis of this identification and giving up the mistaken identity is the goal of Vedanta and essentially Yoga as well.
